Features and Uses of a Lockable Poster Case

The A1 Black Lockable Poster Case is a heavy-duty aluminium poster display case designed to securely present A1 posters in both indoor and outdoor environments. It is especially useful when displaying important information such as safety notices, regulatory signage, event promotions, directional messaging, or business content in unattended or high-traffic locations where poster security and weather resistance are a priority. Pre-drilled fixing holes are included for straightforward wall mounting, and the fixing holes remain hidden when the case is closed, ensuring a clean and seamless appearance on the wall.  

The case is sized to fit standard A1 posters measuring 594 x 841 mm, with an outer frame dimension of 662 x 909 mm. It can be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation, offering flexibility to suit different display needs and spaces. 

Fitted with two keyed-alike locks and a high-impact resistant polycarbonate front panel, the case prevents unauthorised access and protects posters from vandalism and everyday wear at all times. A built-in arm props the door open during poster changes, freeing both hands to swap inserts quickly without any tools. 

The polycarbonate front panel protects displayed content from dust, moisture, and outdoor conditions. Its robust black aluminium finish and substantial 45mm frame profile give it a commanding, professional appearance that complements a wide range of commercial, institutional, and public-facing environments. 

How is my poster protected?

Poster is protected from vandalism with the lock system and high impact resistant polycarbonate front panel. This panel is supported internally by a steel support plate. Your poster is also kept securely in place with edge poster clips.

How do I change my poster?

Once you have unlocked the frame, your new poster can simply be placed into the clear plastic poster clips within the frame to secure it in place and then close the poster frame and lock it. The built in arm will keep the door propped open,  allowing you two free hands to change the display.

How do I mount the Lockable Poster Frame to my wall?

The Poster Case comes pre-drilled with fixing holes that can be drilled through for easy mounting. As long as you have a strong surface that can take screws, you will be able to mount the case easily. For areas where you get sheet rain, a 3mm packer is advised, this enables heavy rain to run behind the frame.

What type of paper should I use in the frame?

We always recommend printing onto PVC or another waterproof based paper eg Yupo. Ordinary paper soaks up damp and becomes creased and discoloured, leaving an unprofessional image. Waterproof based paper will keep your poster looking its best come rain or shine.

Is the frame watertight?

As the frame can be opened to replace posters, the frame cannot be watertight as it is not sealed at all edges. The frame is water resistant and will protect your poster from rain. In occurrences of sheet rain one needs to mount with 3mm wall space packer, this enables heavy rain to run behind the frame. The back of the frame is made from water resistant coreflute.

All locks are keyed alike. Poster Cases A1 size and larger are designed with two locks.
