The Outdoor A1 Snap Frame is a weather-resistant aluminium poster frame specifically designed to display A1 posters in outdoor environments. It is especially useful when displaying signage such as event promotions, directional notices, public safety information, evacuation diagrams, or business messaging in exposed locations including building exteriors, shopping centre entrances, hospitality venues, community centres, and public spaces where the display must withstand the elements. 

The frame is sized to fit standard A1 posters measuring 594 x 841 mm, with an outer frame dimension of 644 x 891 mm and a visible display area of 574 x 821 mm. It can be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation, offering flexibility to suit different display needs and outdoor spaces. The screw holes are hidden when the front cover is closed, ensuring a clean and seamless appearance on the wall. 

Built with a 35mm snap-open profile, all four edges open from the front with ease, allowing posters and inserts to be changed quickly without removing the frame from the wall or using any tools. A rubber seal inside the frame prevents frontal rain from seeping in, protecting poster content from moisture in exposed outdoor conditions. Printing on waterproof paper is recommended for maximum protection during heavy rain. 

This frame includes a UV-stable polycarbonate cover that will not yellow or shrink under prolonged sun exposure, keeping displayed content looking sharp and professional over time. Its silver aluminium finish is durable and low-maintenance, delivering a clean, professional appearance that holds up in demanding outdoor environments. Replacement polycarbonate covers are available separately when required. 

How do I update my graphics?

The snap frame is single sided, it can be clipped open from all four sides. Once clips are open remove the polycarbonate front cover and insert the required poster.

How wide is the snap frame?

The frame profile is 35mm wide and this creates a 10mm overlap of your poster on each side. The frame stands out approximately 10mm from the wall.

How is the frame mounted?

The aluminium snap frames comes with pre-drilled holes and with wall fixings and screws ready for mounting.

What is the frame made of?

The frame is made from aluminium with a white non transparent backing panel.

What is the cover made of?

The cover is a clear UV resistant polycarbonate cover that does not shrink or turn yellow outdoors. The thickness of the cover is 0.4mm. These covers are larger than the paper size to allow it to cover the rubber seal.

Can I use this frame outdoors?

Yes this frame is specifically designed to use outdoors however it is highly recommended that you print on waterproof paper to prevent water damage to poster in case of heavy sheet rain.

What thickness paper can I use?

The frame can hold a poster with a maximum thickness of 1mm
